Mohamed Saeid Eid is an Associate Professor at the Department of Construction and Building Engineering of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport in Cairo, Egypt. Eid earned his PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in May 2017. He received his MS and BS in Construction Engineering and Management in 2012 and 2008, respectively.

Eid's research interest spans across different disciplines: construction engineering and management, scheduling and planning, project delivery systems, infrastructure development, transportation management, disaster recovery, and community vulnerability.

With a multi-disciplinary toolkit; Agent Based Modeling, Game Theory, Evolutionary Optimization Techniques, etc., Eid always attempts to tackle real-life problems in innovative approaches that bridge between the various research fields, create robust research methodologies, and develop sound theoretical basis.

Eid was awarded with:

  • (2018) Editor’s Choice - Journal of Infrastructure Systems, ASCE

  • (2017) Outstanding Graduate Student Award - CEE UTK

  • (2012) Award of Excellence by Dean of College of Engineering - AAST, Cairo
