Amr Gamal(Graduated 2019)

Amr Gamal (Masters of Science student) is a graduate teaching assistant at the AAST. Gamal's research focuses on optimizing the site layout for linear infrastructure projects with the scope of highway development and maintenance in congested inner cities.  

samer maher (graduated 2021)

Samer Maher (Masters of Science student) is a Sr. Construction Engineer at International Engineers For Technical Consultation (IETC). Maher is researching the optimal policies to be developed to incentivize mid-range investors to build community service infrastructure (i.e., multi-story garages). The game theoretical model takes into account the actions and strategyies by both the local government and the investors.

Ibrahim Hamdan (graduated 2021)

Ibrahim Hamdan (Master of Science student). BSc graduate (2010) Is working as Sr. civil Engineer at Vinci construction. Hamdan’s research is focused on predicting accurate production rate based on interactions and heterogeneity of crews using System Dynamics modeling approach. The scope of the research is Clamshell excavation in a top-down construction at subway (metro) station

Radwa Yassin (Graduated 2020)

Radwa Yassin Eissa (Master of Science student) is a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Department of Civil Engineering at Heliopolis University. Yassin’s research objective is to develop a framework for construction joint ventures formation agreements, using a cooperative game-theoretic approach for revenue sharing between collaborating parties.

Prior to joining Heliopolis University, Yassin served as a Business Development Engineer at Arab Consulting Engineers (Moharram-Bakhoum). Furthermore, Yassin is a LEED Green Associate, she graduated from Ain Shams University with a BSc. degree in Building Engineering.

AASTMT Carpooling - Undergraduate - 2018/2019

A group of 4 undergraduate Construction Engineering and Management students carried out an undergrad research as a graduation project. The research studies the effect of economic incentives in changing user’s attitude in selecting the mode of transportation. The research focused on carpooling as a case study on AASTMT Sheraton engineering and computer science campus.

Huu Trong Huynh (Graduated 2021)

Huu is a Ph.D candidate of Construction Engineering and Management department at The Catholic University of America. Huu is currently researching on game theory and its applications in construction project management including optimizing competitive bidding process, splitting gains and losses of a resource coalition, and float bargaining of subcontractors. During the academic years, he has been honored to receive encouraged scholarships from the organizations (Clark Construction, Construction Management Association of America - National Capital Chapter, and PEB Steel) and the universities (The Catholic University of America, and International University – VNU-HCM)."

Mohamed Abd El Aziz Amna (graduated 2021)

Aman is a civil engineer for CSCEC at central business district (CBD) project, Egypt. Aman holds a BSc degree in construction and building engineering from AASTMT (2016). Aman is currently pursuing his Master of Science degree in construction project management focusing on production rate estimation tools.

Yasmeen Shahin (Graduated 2022)

Shahin is a MSc student at the AASTMT studying risk and contingency cost sharing in CJVs. Using cooperative game theory and Monte Carlo simulation, Shahin is advancing the knowledge on the impact of heterogeneic risk resistance across participants on the proper contingency cost sharing.
